Beginning of Roaming Terra Engineering
My brother-in-law just bought a brand new Tacoma pickup truck with the intent of outfitting for the ability to camp at their tri-anthelion events. Next a Diamondback bed cover was delivered, but there was no way to secure the pop-up tent my sister spontaneously purchased. Not wanting to drill holes into the new cover, my brother-in-law came to me asking if there was another way to mount the tent rails. From this single question the idea took that maybe there were others in need of these or other random brackets for their rig, or who an idea needing assistance to reach completion.
Thus Roaming Terra Engineering was developed and started in 2018.
How can Roaming Terra Engineering Help?
My day job since 2012 has been spent being a Mechanical Engineer preforming structural analysis and design for aircraft instrumentation package integration. Starting in 2017, I shifted company becoming the Lead Mechanical Structural Analysis Engineer of a new mechanical division working with our own fabrication show developing a name for our group within the flight clearance release authority of the airframes we work on.
For all the analysis conducted on my "9-5" job, roughly 98% is conducted by classical hand calculations utilizing tried and true methods developed over years long gone without the need computer. However, if a more complicated design analysis is requested, finite element analysis (FEA) can be preform to ensure structural strength and integrity. Thus no design or request will be to much for us to handle.
